I'm looking to make replicable Experiences that can be re-purposed for many different projects by swapping in different webmaps (with different feature services, but sharing the same formatting/schema).
I see that we can create templates and import multiple data sources - but is there any way to swap a new web map / data in place of what's already there? From what I can tell we can't do that, so you have to go through and manually update the data sources for each widget. Am I missing a feature perhaps?
Using the AGO Assistant I duplicated an Experience and swapped out all my template webmap URL's for my new one, and the Experience works perfect, however it then becomes noneditable. This will probably be okay in most instances, but the ability to make a few edits would be better. Wanted to see if anyone had other recommendations.
Thanks
I recently did this with an experience that consumed several surveys for editing the data. I used AGO Assistant but what I found was I had to use Survey123 Connect to replace the feature class in the surveys, and I had to make sure that the service (published in portal) was added to AGOL as a secured service that stored credentials. Worked with ESRI Support, but they couldn't tell me what made the service secure that then had AGOL prompt for credentials to store.
Interesting, I'll keep that workflow in mind though I'm not utilizing Survey 123. The method I'm think of is already in place with ArcGIS Insights where can swap out data sources for multiple downstream widgets, so hopefully it gets integrated eventually.
