Poor Slow Performance with Experience Builder

Created an Experience Builder app based on the same map/data that a WAB app was using. WAB is very quick panning/zooming but the Experience Builder app is painfully slow.

We all pay good money for these tools and this is unacceptable.

This needs to be resolved ASAP as users don't want to use the app as its slower on the supposed "new and improved" Experience Builder

Maybe try opening up a ticket with ESRI to see if there's a solution for that?

I did and they said "This behavior is expected, and there is not much we can do about it.".

My response to them was that is unacceptable and something needs to be done. We pay too much for this software so I will continue to push.

Interesting, maybe the product needs more optimization then.

Can you provide links to both old app and Experience Builder app with a short explanation of the apps capabilities?

Yup, see this with every ExB app I've made.  Still use WAB for the majority of my maps for this reason.

That, and my users have gotten used to their maps loading in 3-5 seconds.  ExB equivelant is taking 30+ seconds depending on the day/time and I constantly get complaints.

Hi @TD1 and @RhettZufelt, could you share both WAB and ExB apps for us to take a look? If they are not public, can you contact me by email - jsong@esri.com? Thanks.

Also seeing this. We migrated our app from web appbuilder to experience builder this past year, and my users do not like it due to performance issues. Experience builder uses way more RAM and CPU, you can watch it on your task manager.

Users complain when using the WAB version their computers remain relatively silent, but when you pull up the experience builder version, the fans start running like crazy. Some users with less powerful PCs state that the new version crashes.

I was hoping these issues would be resolved the closer we got to the depreciation of WAB, but with each new update, it doesn't seem like performance is something the team is focused on. I will have to continue to maintain both applications for this reason into the future.
