New Batch Editor functionality doesn't work for calculated fields

i've just tried the new "Batch Editor" functionality it seems to calculate the values in the form but it doesn't save them against the data and only saves the values you manually update.
the below example the outcome / high level outcome & status fields are all calculated based on the questions above and the comments field is manually entered
after pressing update and viewing the data in the popup it shows the comments populated but all of the calculated columns are blank
