Near Me widget not showing all results when buffer is increased

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help with an issue I'm having in ArcGIS Experience Builder.

I've configured a Near Me widget with multiple analysis layers and connected it to a Search widget. When I search for an address, the Near Me analysis runs correctly and the buffer is created around the searched location.

The issue is that when I increase the buffer distance (for example from 50 m to 200 m), the buffer clearly overlaps multiple polygons/layers on the map, but the Near Me results don't always show everything that falls within the buffer.

For example, on the map I can see the buffer intersecting multiple precinct polygons, but the Near Me panel may only return one or two results instead of all the polygons that appear to be within the search area.

checked the following:

  • All analysis layers are configured in the Near Me widget.
  • Layers are visible in the web map.
  • The layers draw correctly on the map and appear in the legend.
  • No obvious filters or definition queries are applied.
  • Increasing the buffer visibly covers multiple polygons.

What  trying to understand is:

  • Does Near Me have any settings that limit the number of returned results?
  • Is there a reason why only some intersecting features are being displayed?
  • Has anyone seen issues where the map clearly shows features within the buffer, but the Near Me widget doesn't list all of them?

Any suggestions on what else I should check would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

In your analysis configuration, do you have this option enabled? If it is, could you try disabling it and see if this fixes your issue? This particular setting in Proximity analysis is designed to return intersected line or polygon feature only.

I have one more question regarding the Near Me tool. When the Near Me widget is closed, I would like it to reset automatically. Additionally, when the address/search location is changed, I need the Near Me results and settings to reset to the default search distance rather than retaining the previous search criteria. Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi @ChaitaliChandani ,

To reset Near Me results you can turn this "Keep results when closed" setting off from the General settings tab in Near Me, it should reset the results.

Only thing I noticed while testing this is, Map is not going back to its initial zoom state, will check it from our side. I will update you once I know more about this issue.

Best regrads,

Aziza
