I've been unable to add a simple Indicator to count a selection of features from a feature layer based on text in that column.
This is easy in Dashboards but is it possible in Experience Builder without combining widgets?
Thanks to all.
The Map widget has a "selection" option that lets you select features on the map, the bolttom right corner shows the totals:
Is that what you need?
I think it's something like this, and trying to figure out how to best do this in EB as well....
I'm struggling with the same and I don't think EXB can really do it. I got a # indicator to work through dynamic text however it is far less intuitive and more restrictive than what you can accomplish in dashboards and for some projects I created indicators in dashboards and brought those dashboard indicators into EXB.
Would you mind sharing how you did this?
To bring over your indicators from dashboard to EXB you can use the embed widget and type the URL in.
Otherwise you can use the dynamic content button within the text widget in EXB and pull numbers directly from your fields. However, you can't really filter or adjust it just displays everything from that field.

I've also gone the other way and brought EXB into Dashboards because I needed editing plus indicators. Wish it was easier.. and could be done with 1 application. This was done using the embedded content widget in Dashboards.
@Laura So you're making a Dashboard with just an Indicator and then using the Embed Widget in Experience Builder to make your own Indicator Widget? That is such a stupidly fun hack and I mean that in the nicest way. Could you please write it up for the Tips and Tricks Board?
How exactly do you get the URL for the indicator itself?
Go to the dashboard item detail page and scroll to the bottom and copy that URL.
Maybe you can use the dynamic text
