Geometry edit box showing up, but geometry editing is disabled...?

Every time I select a polygon on the map, the geometry boxes come up as if I were to edit it, but I have it disabled. It allows me to move it temporarily but it snaps back to its original position and nothing saves anyways. How do I turn this off so the orange box is gone?

Thanks Alix. Similarly, I have a table that I only have update attributes on. However, in the experience builder edit widget, it allows me to add and delete records..? I am trying to make a workaround for letting my users enter a value and a calculated field is populated on the fly, without saving. I have a calculated field created in the forms in a web map.
