Filter Layer in Map by Clicking on Bar Chart when Grouping by Fields

I have a bar chart that is showing the sum of project costs by fiscal year. I want to be able to click on a fiscal year and it filter the associated map showing where records have a value greater than 0 in the fiscal year column. The trigger field only shows "Name" and "Value", neither of which correspond to fields in my original dataset. Is there a trick for this I'm missing?
