We recently upgraded our Enterprise version from 11.1 to 11.5. Prior to the upgrade, we created a map service to use as a data source for an experience builder lookup tool which contained customized pop-ups. The feature info widget was previously setup to use a published map service directly as a data source, and correctly showed the custom pop-ups, without having to add the map service to a web map.
Post-upgrade, we found that the custom pop-ups no longer functioned. While the pop-ups would honor the layer's field visibility (showing only those set to 'visible'), they did not display the custom content. The only way we were able to restore the custom pop-up was to create a web map, add the map service as a layer, then use the correct layer from the map service within the web map as the info widget data source, as opposed to pointing directly to the map service layer itself.
We tried removing and re-adding the widget, republishing the map service, and publishing the same map service as a different map service, all of which failed to fix the problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this expected behavior for Enterprise 11.5?
