Hello,

I've created an app in ArcGIS Online: Experience Builder.

Everything seems to work really well! Although, when I go to the Edit widget, I can place down a point by selecting on the map.

My question is rather than selecting on the map to place a point, can I place and/or collect a point directly on my GPS'ed location? Is there a hotkey, another widget or means of doing so within Experience Builder?

Thank you!

There's a My Location widget in beta but after a brief test, it does not appear that it will feed your location into the Edit widget. So you could use it to essentially position where you want the point to be (by, you know, being there), but you'd still need to hit the edit widget to add a point.

Happy mapping,

Hey, thanks for the reply Zach! Yes, the My Location Widget is pretty cool. Although as you alluded to, it doesn't fulfill the function needed in this case. Having to place a point with the Edit Widget by clicking or touching on the map is the only way to place a point at the moment. (Excluding the 'Add Data' Widget) Rather, what I need is a hotkey or a function in the Edit Widget that allows you to drop a point on top of where someone is standing.

Thanks!

Thanks for your post! The points collected with My Location can be exported to local files or AGOL items, allowing you to save the records. Hopefully, this meets your needs.
