We have an on prem hosted website where we used to download our Webapp Builder application into a zip and insert it into our website. With the new experience builder on the overview tab I do not see the same option to download a zip of the application. Am I missing something or has this feature been discontinued?
You have two options, in the application click the 3 dots on the upper right an chose download
Or on the main page click the 3 dots then download
Hi Brian,
I appreciate the response! Although I cannot seem to replicate what you are seeing. In the underlying web map, I have allow others to save a copy enabled. Is there another setting that I could be missing within ArcGIS Online? I am the owner of the Experience and an Administrator just for more context into possible permission issues.
@JoshuaSoukkala I think the difference is that my screenshots were from Experience Builder Developer Edition and yours are from AGOL. I just checked some EB apps on AGOL and Enterprise and you cannot download from there. It looks like the only way is to configure your app in Developer Edition and download the ZIP from there.
Any chance its a permissions issue? Maybe its not a contributor or a higher perhaps admin account?
@TimWestern I am an admin for our Enterprise and AGOL, and I don't get the download ZIP option like I get for Developer Edition. Should the download ZIP option be in AGOL and Enterprise versions of EB?
so you don't see an icon like this?
I will admit I just now saw that icon myself. I don't know what version this portal is on currently
This one looks like no changes have been made and its just a draft though
in another one I saw this:
In one other experience on AGOL i saw something like this:
Save as I know is just creating a fresh experience from it with a new name in AGOL The only difference between the first one and second one and this one that I can tell is one is a private company AGOL experience, and the other seems to be public facing. I believe the other one is public facing, which leads me to believe, that something about how that version is configured effectively does not provide permission to download it this way. (Even though both are AGOL)
Do you see something more like 1 or 2 or 3?
IN the first two that icon which I'll crop out: after interacting with it, it only downloads the QR Code (which is new to me I hadn't seen that before), which I think proves your initial observations.
@TimWestern I see all of that, but I think the feature that is missing in AGOL/Enterprise vs Developer Edition is that in DE you can download a ZIP of the application. Below is an image from DE 1.18.
