Experience Builder and adding data - "Item does not exist or is inaccessible"

I am trying to use Experience Builder for the first time but every time I try to select a web map that already exists in ArcGIS Online, it says the item does not exist or is inaccessible. I am only trying to add things that are in my personal folder and it doesn't seem to matter what type of viewing is allowed of the web map.

Experience builder error when trying to add existing web map that says item does not exist or is inaccessible.

Hi Hannah,

Can you provide the steps to reproduce this issue? Also, do you the user type and role you have in your organization?

Thanks,

David

Hey David,

Please see attached document for the issue. My user type is Creator and my role is and Administrator.

Something has changed since my first attempt. I recently acquired a different web map from another user and able to select that one. So now the question I have is why are the web maps that I create (whether they are public, shared to organization, or private) not selectable in Experience Builder but this other web map is?

Thanks,

Hannah B.

Thanks, Hannah, I don't see any issues with that workflow. Can you share one of the public web maps you're having issues with? So when you select the thumbnail it highlights the thumbnail. but you don't see the data source selected for the map widget, correct?

Yes, I will share the link to one that doesn't work in Experience Builder and to the one that it does work with that I just acquired from another member in our organization.

When I go to select a web map, I see all my content (thumbnails) but I can't select most of them and get that error.

Web map example that will not load in Experience Builder: https://mapmkeonline.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=98ee370bd0ba48adac421a4db403637f

The only one that does: https://mapmkeonline.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=6360d943f9d6496e9aab1400ce8b8904

I am having the same issue. I was trying to add a map to experience builder and got an error 'Item does not exist or is inaccessible'.

Here is a link to the web map I was trying to add to the experience builder: https://dogis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=9652acb5113d4b52bf0040c06146392f

Actually, I got it to work. One of the layers in my map had invalid REST URL, once I fixed the URL, I was able to use the map in the Experience Builder.
