EB Swipe Widget: The Map has been connected to another Swipe. Please select a different one.

In my Experience Builder map, the initial Swipe Widget was removed and a second one now replaces it. The widget settings now display the warning: "The Map has been connected to another Swipe. Please select a different one."

I am unable to select another map and seem to be unable to remove the initial Swipe Widget from the existing map. The initial Swipe Widget is no longer visible in the map, nor in the setting layout.

How to I either remove the initial Swipe Widget, refresh the map to have no Swipe Widget associated, or make the new Swipe Widget recognize the existing map?

Have you checked the Pending List? I was able to replicate this error by putting a Swipe in my Pending List and adding another one.

To solve this issue, I checked the "Pending List" by selecting the plus symbol as if I were to add a new widget and then selected the "Pending" tab. There I found another widget controller that contained another copy of the swipe tool.

After deleting the pending widget controller containing the extra swipe tool, the error message was resolved in my replacement Swipe widget.

Thanks for the assistance from Shane and Jeffrey!

That error suggests Experience Builder still thinks the Map widget is connected to a Swipe widget somewhere in the app, even if that Swipe widget is no longer visible.

A couple of things I'd check first:

  • Open the Outline panel and look through all pages, sections, views and windows to make sure there isn't an old Swipe widget hidden elsewhere in the app.
  • Try duplicating the Map widget and connecting the new Swipe widget to the duplicate. If that works, it suggests the original map is holding a stale Swipe reference.

It may also be worth duplicating the page (or recreating the Map widget) as a workaround.
