Hi all,
I'm trying to generate reports in Experience Builder based on a custom report template created in ArcGIS Pro and published to an Enterprise 11.3 environment. I followed this blog post on how to configure the report template and publish it: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-enterprise/national-government/creating-a-custom-pr...
However, when I configure the print widget in ExB and try to produce a report I always get a error on the results tab of the widget. The workflow I'm trying to test here is performing a query first (using the Query widget) and then print a report based on the results.
Checking the logs on the server manager I see two messages. One saying that the "containing process for the [report] job has crashed" and the other "instance of the service [custom GP service] crashed".
Nothing I've tried so far has worked or triggered a different error.
Would appreciate any ideas!
Hi @davidson ,
The error message indicates the print gp service is failing. I don't think it is a Experience Builder issue. Tagging print service owner @TanuHoque, he may have suggestions to resolve this issue.
does the default (out of the box) print service work? or your print service work to print only map/layout basically you are not asking for any reports? Just want to figure out if the crash is specific to report generation or in general?
Yes, the default print service works and my custom service also works if I print one of the default layouts - it's only with my custom reports that it's failing.
Thank you
Hi @TanuHoque
I've tested the same process in a third Enterprise environment and got the same result/error. Would appreciate your thoughts on troubleshooting this issue.
Thanks
