Hello, this is my first post to the Esri Community! Let me know if this post is more appropriate as a Question or something different.
I am a GIS technician for a county, and I've recently created a web experience using Experience Builder to present a web map with several different feature layers and map image layers, such as taxlots and survey plats. To help users navigate and find specific features, I included a Query widget and added several SQL expressions, which point to specific feature layers. I also adjusted other configuration settings such as adding a drawn graphic spatial filter.
After doing this, I returned to the web map to adjust some of the layers (in Map Viewer). Critically, I moved layers into groups for better organization. When I returned to Experience Builder to check my work, I discovered that the queries in Query Widget were displaying an error, as they no longer detected the data connection. I reconnected them to the appropriate feature layers (now nested within groups), but to my horror the SQL expressions had totally reset! In fact, all of the settings for the query had reset.
I understand that the data needs to be reconnected since I moved layers around, but this has completely deleted all my work. It would be nice if the configuration settings were preserved somehow. At the very least, make it easier to copy/paste a SQL function into the SQL Expression Builder. I've submitted a bug report, but I would be curious to hear if others have faced something similar.
Hi @ncramer11, Congrats on your first post! I will move this post to ArcGIS Experience Builder's Questions board to gather additional feedback from the Community while you validate with Esri Technical Support. I understand why you posted in Ideas, as I see the potential for a feature request. Once you have collected more insights, please return to the ArcGIS Experience Builder Ideas board if you have a specific feature request.
