Hello,
I am using Experience Builder for the first time in my AGOL Organization. Here is what I did:
1) I created an app with Feature Layers (all shared with the Organization)
2) Shared the app with the Organization
3) Copied the url in the Details
4) Logged out of AGOL
5) Pasted the url in Chrome and then get the 404 Site Not Found error.
When I do the same using AGOL Web AppBuilder I do not get any errors. All works good.
I do notice that Experience Builder does not use my org's url. It uses experience.arcgis.com; whereas Web AppBuilder does use my org's url. After I log out of AGOL and paste the url into the browser, I get prompted to enter my orgs url. When I do this is when I get the 404 error.
If I stay logged into AGOL I can view Experience Builder no problem.
Any idea how I can get Experience Builder to default to using my org's url?
We are using SAML with ADFS.
If you want to see an app shared in AGOL with the Organization, you have to be signed into AGOL to access your AGOL organization. In order for everybody at your "business" to see the app, if they don't have AGOL accounts, the app has to be shared with Everyone (aka publicly). in AGOL, "Organization" is referring to your AGOL organization (not your business/agency, etc.).
Thank you. I guess I should have clarified that when shared with the organization the user is asked to log in and does so via SAML. It is when this is done that the 404 error occurs. The user has an account in our SAML and can view apps created in Web AppBuilder and Field Maps no problem. It is not with a single user; it is with all users who sign in and access the Experience Builder App shared with the organization.
Just one oddness of ExB that is different than WAB, etc.... did you make sure to click Publish when you created your Experience builder app? you have to Save it but also click Publish. maybe that is it?
Along the same lines within the editor you can click "view published" app. Start there and ensure it looks how you would expect.

Ours also does not follow the URL however we've had no issues. Any chance the saml login is supposed to take them to the home page rather than an app?
Yes, the app is published. I can view it if I am logged in and choose Preview.
When a user logs into our AGOL it goes through a redirect and when it does this is when the 404 error occurs. I wonder if it is a white list issue?
Makes no sense to me that apps created in AGOL WAB user can access no problem. But for apps created in EB users get a 404 error.
What happens if they log into AGOL first, and then open the app? Same thing? If not, then maybe it is the redirect, and some security setting at your org. then does the same thing happen in Edge? Just asking questions I would think Esri might ask.
When they log into AGOL and then open the app they are able to see it no issues. No 404 error. Same thing happens in all browsers. But when they try to open the app first then log into AGOL then the 404 error occurs. I am thinking this has something to do with the redirect because it is when the redirect url pops up and then it goes to a 404. I wonder what security setting it could be. I am not a network person. I will contact ESRI Tech Support and see what they say.
@TimHayes3 Thanks for your feedback. Would you be able to share the app URL and your org URL?
