Currently, to display chart information, one can choose to label a chart with "data labels" and/or create a "legend" to explain the chart contents. Chart "data labels" always display group/field names for the bar/slice/column/etc. they represent, and optionally display "percentage" and "value" as well.
One cannot display percentages or numbers in the "legend," only in the chart "data labels" themselves. See the image "Add Info to Legend." There is no option to display "value" and "percentage" as with "data labels."
One cannot choose to display "percentage" or "value" associated with each bar/slice/column/etc. without also displaying the name when using "data labels". See "Remove Names from Chart." One cannot label the data with just the "value" or "percentage," but must include the corresponding name as well.
The Idea:
- Allow representation of percentages and values within chart legends, rather than just chart data labels.
- Similarly, allow representation of percentages and values within chart labels without displaying names.
- Additionally, as an aside for QOL, allow an option to select which groups/fields are actually affected by labeling.
