When using a custom web tool in the Analysis widget, if the tool produces a table (non-spatial output), there is currently no option to automatically add that output to other widgets, such as the Table widget or the Map Layers widget (Tables section).
In contrast, if the web tool produces a feature layer, the Analysis widget provides options to automatically add the output to the Map and Map Layers widgets.
For non-spatial tables, users must complete several manual steps after the tool finishes:
- Open History.
- Find the correct tool run (which becomes increasingly difficult if the tool has been run multiple times).
- Open View details.
- Click Actions.
- Choose Export to.
It would be helpful if non-spatial output tables could also be automatically added to compatible widgets, such as the Table widget and the Tables section of the Map Layers widget, directly from the Analysis widget.
This would provide a more consistent experience between spatial and non-spatial outputs, simplify workflows, and eliminate unnecessary manual steps.
