Time slider widget is very basic, little flexible and hardly conforms to my use case.
Especially navigation is rough if your data is less centered on timespans but rather moments.
You cannot lock the start/end span. When you set it to zero, it is almost impossible to drag the slider along the line. Either you will not move it at all or instead change the span. The cross for just moving the whole span is tiny or invisible when you reduce the time span to zero.
Also, with the two basic options of style, you cannot really adjust height, make it floatable or collapsible.
So, adding more options in the widget would improve usability tremendously (at least for me).
