Remove feature layer from Feature Info widget if popup is disabled in web map

I am using the Feature Info widget in an application as a more advanced and configurable version of the basic Map widget popup. It displays the same information, but I can connect it to data actions and the like. However, I've noticed that it displays popup information for all of my layers... even the ones I don't want to display! I've disabled popups for select layers in the web map, but they still appear in the Feature Info widget.

My current workaround is to configure the popups in the web map with a blank title and an empty text box. They are still visible, but the user won't see any information. It would be nice if Experience Builder recognized when a layer has popups disabled, or if there was a "Show layers with disabled popups" toggle of some kind.

I'm curious to hear if anyone has a better solution, or if I've missed something obvious.

@ncramer11, I'm assuming you're using the "interact with a map widget" setting? That seems to be for use cases where you just want to add everything that's in your map. If you use the other method, "select data," you can pick the layers that are included:
