I am building a page where an embedded dashboard would dynamically change based on a selection from a list widget. I am achieving this by leveraging ArcGIS Dashboard's URL Parameter capability with Expressions in Experience Builder.
I noticed that it is not possible to copy/paste into the expression builder. While this is not a problem for shorter expressions, I found it error-prone to have to type the URL. It would be great to have the option to copy/paste strings into the builder.
Not sure why this isn't getting more traction after all this time. It seems like it would be a pretty simple Improvement to add the ability to copy/paste an expression given that imbedding URLs has been around forever.
Someone explain to me how anyone at Esri would think it's a great idea to force users to manually type in URLs while developing the imbed function
Lots of our Image and Button widgets use expressions with long, horrible URLs. It is very tedious. According to this bug report regarding image URL expressions, it won't be fixed: "This behavior is as designed. The copy and paste feature will not only contain static information but also intended rich text or connected fields. They are not distinguishable and URLs must be typed manually."
