Right now it is not possible to move, copy, or reuse anything page to page - you must either duplicate the originating page and work off that or recreate the entire element with all its settings from scratch. This is a huge pain, especially if you just want to move one element to another page or reuse elements. You can't do it.
Hi @wayfaringrob,
You can select a widget and press Ctrl+C, then select the target page and press Ctrl+V to paste the widget across pages.
@ShengdiZhangI did not know that. Thanks! Perhaps there could be a UI command as well...lots of lost time yesterday.
Same issue here. I wish I could copy element from one page to another. I would make my life easier.
Hi @ShengdiZhang ,
I am trying to Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V the existing widget to a new place on the same page and I have no luck. When you paste a widget, do you select a container (for example a Placeholder widget) where you want to paste it?
I actually also tried pasting a widget to a new page and it does not work either.
Many thanks,
Nadia
The best I've come up with is to move whatever it is to Pending, then place it on the new page. The issue with this is that you have to adjust its position all over again.
@Nadia Hi, regardless of whether you select a container or not, the widget will always be pasted on the page.
What is your target page type? Currently, there is a bug when attempting to paste a widget onto a grid page.
Hi, @ShengdiZhang
I am having the same issue. No amount of Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V makes any of the widgets copy and paste.
This wastes a LOT of time having to take screen shots of the exact setup which I need to duplicate on other pages, or even in the same page.
Hi @Nicauldron,
I had the same issue. I was able to solve the problem by changing the browser from Edge to Chrome.
@AlfredBaldenweckHow are you able to use the pending list to move widgets between pages? When I move a wigdet to pending I can only se it in the pending list on the current page in different screen sizes. When switching to another page my pending list is empty.
I have to apologize; this is the second time recently where I said something that I swear actually worked when I said it and then I can't duplicate it when pressed.
I have no clue how I got it to work.
