Hello, I am writing to propose some enhancements for the Timeline Widget in Experience Builder that I believe would greatly improve its functionality and user experience.

Currently, the Timeline Widget is set to be enabled by default when opening an experience. It would be highly beneficial to have an option in the widget settings to disable the timeline by default, allowing users to enable it only when needed. This flexibility would help in scenarios where the timeline is not immediately required and can reduce initial load time and interface complexity.

Additionally, it would be very useful to have the capability to set the timeline to a specific date or date range by default. At present, the timeline always starts at the earliest available date, which may not be the most relevant or useful starting point for all use cases. Allowing users to predefine the initial date or range would streamline workflows and enhance the relevance of the data presented right from the start.

These features would add significant value to the Timeline Widget, providing greater control and customization to better suit diverse project requirements.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. I look forward to hearing the community’s thoughts and any potential updates regarding these features.

The option of "Apply timeline filtering by default" has been provided in the recent AGOL 24 Nov release:

I totally agree with initial point. For me it is not first date, but the most interesting one, or the last one.
