The dimensions of the widget “Add Data” in Experience-Builder can be adjusted. Unfortunately, the width of the pop-up window (subwindow) that is opened from this widget is fixed.
Because it shows titles of map layers or URLs, it creates a confusing image. The option to adjust the width of this subwindow is missing. It would be useful if the width of this subwindow could be adjusted or had a larger size by default.
100% agree, an option to widen the subwindow would be appreciated.
Agreed. I much preferred WAB's Add Data widget configuration (subwindow opens first and is nested within the confines of the widget window rather than floating outside of it) than ExB's.
I support this enhancement. The issue is specifically the secondary Add data window that opens after selecting Click to add data, not the main widget panel.
This window opens too narrow, making item names and metadata difficult to read. Although users can resize it manually, they must repeat this each time.
Ideally, app authors should be able to configure its initial width at design time, while retaining runtime resizing. At minimum, the default width should be increased.
I wholeheartedly agree with this enhancement request to allow configuration of the Add Data widget's popup window default size. And I second Kathryn Wesson's suggestion to revert back to the WAB interface, where the content window (also referred to as the sub-window in this thread), is open by default.
I've long-awaited these enhancements! Our custom WAB Add Data widget (allows for unlimited curated lists from AGOL and Enterprise Portal groups) is dying with our Enterprise 12 upgrade (no more WAB). A custom ExB Add Data widget for Enterprise Portal has not yet panned out. Please consider these AGOL ExB enhancements, Esri! Thanks!
