The report created by the Near Me widget doesn't handle the legend very well. Only some of the layers switched on appear in the legend and if there is a unique value render, some of the categories get truncated - see "Print legend with layers switched on.pdf". The road network layer is switched on but doesn't appear in the legend, and the labels for the last two (orange and red) Agricultural land classifications are missing.
If there are no layers switched on in the map, but the legend option is switched on in the export to pdf tool, the report includes the words "No legend" - see "Print - no legend.pdf"
Neither of these options look good on the final report. If the legend cannot be improved in the pdf report, could the widget configuration include the option to suppress the legend so the user never sees it?
