Add Existing Filter Table  by Map Extent functionality to Experience Builder.

I have to say, it is disappointing that ESRI puts out a replacement application that is inferior to old application (WebApp Builder). There are so many basic tools lacking in EB that it is hard to transition to it.

Any updates to this?  We're trying to move to EB with WAB being retired but every time i try to get something that looks and feels like what my users are familiar with i run into a dead end.

Preach! Looking for this too, especially as Esri will be retiring WAB very soon (Dev edition retiring July 2024).  Difficult to transition to ExpB when baseline functionality is not available.

So WebApp Builder was retired before the filter by extent functionality was added to the Experience Builder table widget? I just moved our main maps to Experience Builder, and this was one of the first things brought to my attention.

Just encase someone from Esri reads this, the extent changes work around is not practical because my users used to toggle the filter on as needed. They do not want the filter by extent on all the time with no way for them to turn off.

A quick update for everyone concerned: Filter table by map extent feature is in progress and targeting this October release.

Shen_Zhang

Filter Table by Map Extent is now available in "Interact with a Map widget" mode since the November 2024 release.

Hi @Shen_Zhang thank you for the update, but quick clarification. It looks like now there's two options - "Select layers" and "Interact with a Map widget". Clicking the second option warns that you will reset your configurations. I have more than 20 tables set up in my ExB and would not want to reset anything. I was thinking that the "Filter Table by Map Extent" was going to be an option in the settings for the existing table configuration. Can you help advise?

Shen_Zhang

@Tiff - I'm afraid it’s not possible to retain the current sheet configurations when switching to the ‘Interact with a Map’ widget. The previous settings were cleared because layers not part of the map need to be excluded, and it’s challenging to maintain these settings while the table widget is synced with the map.

@Shen_Zhang do you know when it will be available in Enterprise?

Shen_Zhang

@jstaszel It will be included in the upcoming 11.5 this May.

Hello everyone

I completely agree with this request.

It such a useful feature and it is really missing from the EXB.

We just upgrade to 11.3 from a really old enterprise version.

I really wouldn't like to upgrade again just to have this feature...

ESRI - Pls help with this.

Thanks

Mariana
