Displaying an elevation profile graph within a widget is really useful - however it would be even better to have the option to export the results of an elevation profile, directly within the widget. Ideally this would be as a CSV of elevation values and/or a high quality image screenshot.

Many other widgets in Experience Builder support exporting data, and this implementation would greatly enhance the value of this widget.

Yes, good idea- would be really helpful to have x,y,z,distance from start- for all the lines/layers created by the profile!

@AndrewDouglas-Clifford1 thank you for taking the time to post this idea!

We are currently working to enhance the widget with this functionality and your feedback is welcome. @johnjcarter as well!

We are going to provide a button for exporting the profile results as a CSV. These results will include x and y coordinates, the distance for each point, and the elevation (something similar to the screenshot below).

Optionally, a user will also be able to set an interval value before exporting the results to customize the distance interval for extracting the values along the profile line (e.g. export elevation values every 5ft along the line).

Will this new functionality cover your needs?

Hi @AlixVezina,

That sound fantastic, thanks - looking forward to when it becomes available!

Kind regards,

Andrew

@AlixVezina has there been any update to this feature? Is there a way to "print" the created elevation profile and statistics within Experience Builder?

AlixVezina

@JarenMiller The Export to CSV is currently planned for the next release.

Right now, you can only export the statistics results to a CSV if you connect the Elevation Profile's output data source to a widget such as Feature Info, and have the Export data action enabled. Example:

There isn't a way to "print" the chart with the stats - I assume that would generate some sort of PDF report format? It's under consideration for the future.

2 other abilities would be helpful in arcgis online either as a widget in Experience builder/instant apps OR this ability in Ma viewer:

1.  the ability to export the line from the elevation profile to my content with the elevation data connected to it.

2. the ability to upload/add a line feature and get an elevation profile for the line.

@חנניהוייסלר  Please create new separate ideas if you still require the functionality you listed above.

This was added to the Elevation Profile widget in the June 2023 update.

You can also export the data for each profile and intersecting layers to a CSV file. Note: a screenshot is not included.

I have a question about the x/y coordinates that are out put in the CSV export - what are they in? They do not appear to be in Lat/Long or UTMs.
