When you want to make a filter automatic (I mean not having to clic the accept button) a switch is the only possible option. We have found that it is not intuitive for our users, especially for resetting the initial values.
It is true that there is the option of adding a button, but I consider that it is redundant and that it is placed too far away for the user to relate it to the filter, at least when these are horizontal. In addition, it conditions the design as it takes up a lot of space (it doesn't seem so in the image, but it does).
Personally, I would remove the switch and place the button instead.
In the Filter widget settings, the option Exclude activation styles for single clause is designed to achieve similar cases as described -
Hi again Tonghui,
I hadn't tried that option because we are using a "chain" of expressions. I understand that what you are suggesting is a series of individual filters with no button plus the reset button for all filters. I will try that but I suspect we will have the same problem with the position of the reset button.
In any case it would be nice to have that option for a "chain" of expressions.
Thank you again.
