In the Draw widget, it would be great if the user could change the tooltip units. When my users click "Show length/area measurement" and adjust the units there, they are looking for it to be honoured in the tooltip as well.
I agree, units choice should be an option. I would warn of some known, unexplained issues when using the Draw tool constraits. I have a couple posts on this forum regarding inaccuracies in the measurements of the Draw widget (and measurement widget!)
When I use a custom projection, in my case State Plane coordinate system, with units in feet, if I use the tooltips constraints to draw a easy to calculate polygon, say 100'x100', when I complete the drawing and the label pops up, it is NOT 10,000 sq ft! The label does not match the drawing I just made with plain and simple constraits. To make matters worse, if I then use the Measure widget to measure the recently created drawing, that measurement doesn't match either one!!
Just beware, I thought the drawing contraints might be an easy walk around for taking measurements since there are so many inadeequacies in the Measure widget, only to find out the draw contraits lack accuracy!
