There are some problems with the bookmark widget in Experience Builder.

When using bookmarks created in a 3D scene, the thumbnails in the widget appear blurry (https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-questions/blurry-bookmark-widget-images/m-p/...).

An alternative is to create bookmarks directly within ExB, but this introduces new limitations:

  • You cannot create bookmarks with a different basemap.
  • You cannot set different times (e.g., for shadow vizualization).
  • Bookmarks must be recreated for different screen sizes, which is unnecessary time-consuming.

Suggestions for improvement:

  • Bookmarks created in Scene Viewer should generate higher-resolution images to ensure they display clearly in ExB.
  • The bookmark widget in ExB should support bookmarks with custom basemaps and time settings.

Hi @Thomas1 thanks for your feedback. Here are some comments based on your requests:

  • Bookmarks created in Scene Viewer should generate higher-resolution images to ensure they display clearly in ExB.

The bookmarks created in scene viewer, the images are saved in low quality and small size itself, so when you import to ExB, if you are using larger layout the images blurs. And we have no control on the saved image quality from scene.  I would suggest you to "honor map bookmark size" for the bookmark items, so the image display in its original size and won't looks blur.

  • The bookmark widget in ExB should support bookmarks with custom basemaps and time settings.

We will try to support this in future.
