I find using the Feature info widget while wrapped inside the Sidebar to be superior to the traditional pop-up on top of the map as a method to display feature attributes. However one of the big limitations in the Experience Builder version I have found is that there is no "Clear Selection" button within the attribute display. The selection often needs to be cleared for any number of actions that may follow. The only option to clear the selection is to enable the select option on the map, which I find to be a poor implementation (looking forward to the stand-alone Select widget!), and will confusing for the user to look in a different place than the Feature attribute window. The Sidebar Instant App has a clear and simple method of clearing the feature selection from within the attribute display window. Please add a "Clear Selection" button to the attribute window of the Feature Info widget, similar to how it is implemented in the Sidebar Instant App.
Yes, we also have this issue. Feature info is a great widget to show the details. However, it does not update the information until another click. I hope feature info can have an option to clear the selection if the linked map is not the current view/page.
I too have been struggling with the "Clear Selection" limitation. I think I found the solution (by accident).
1. Open the application in Experience Builder
2. Click the Feature Info Widget to configure it (make the Clear Selection toggle is turned on as well as the Enable data action toggle is turned on in the Data action tab)
3. Under the Source section, choose Select Data
4. Click the Add Data button
5. Click Select Data
6. Select the layer that you want features selected from
7. Under the Data section, choose Selected features (Default is the default)
Now, when you select a feature on the map (or search for a feature), you can use the Clear Selection button located in the Feature Info Widget to not only clear the selection from the map but also clear the information displayed in the Feature Info Widget .
Which version is that screenshot from, @BobCarberry3? I'm working with Enterprise 11.4 and I don't see that option in the Feature Selection widget. A similar function is present in the ArcGIS Online version but it looks slightly different from your image.
BenClark, I did this in AGOL, not Portal.
