The changes on the mxd file are not reflected in its published service,

The mxd file is shared as service as shown in the screenshot below:

After that, some changes took place on the mxd file. Those changes are not automatically reflected on its service. How to update the service so that all the changes on the original mxd file are reflected on the published version?

Thank you for the answer

In the .Net web application builder, we need also to click ??restart? to transfer the effects of changes on the web application. Refresh is not sufficient!

If I were you, I'd migrate away from the Web ADF application in favor of the newer platforms:

ArcGIS Viewer for Flex

ArcGIS Viewer for Silverlight

Many thanks Jonathan for the answer,

I would love to migrate to the flex and Silverlight but both of them are still missing the very basic tools/functions/features that the Web ADF application already has!

Which benefits should I gain from this migration at this moment? It is like a desert there!

What I can do with flex/silverlight with no sufficient tools? I??m talking here about the very basic functions!

Please, have a look on the bunch of threads that I have just posted on the Silverlight forum looking for tools/settings/options that may help doing some very basic functions

Just very recently I got tools from experts on the forum that can
