I was looking at the Debug Logs in our ArcGIS Server Manager and see two Severe Level Logs:

Exception in Put(): 4672 Put exception: the client id
4672 already has a value
GIS_Housing.MapServer_4673 checked out.
Housing.MapServer

Exception in Get(): _GetItemIterator exception: client id
4672 is trying to check out GIS_Planning.MapServer
but it already checked out
Housing.MapServer4672
Housing.MapServer

These services are both sourced from our Enterprise GDB (SQL Server not a File GDB or Data Store).

Any thoughts on what these message mean and how to resolve them?

Having the same issue as all the others noted. Looking into @AmandaDeMedeiros link to it being associated with BUG-000147815

My issue seems right on line with what @Joel_Lopez noted. Joel, any resolution?

Hi there, sorry for the late reply. I had a call with esri technical support about this about a year and half ago. They just summed it up to a bug. And because it doesn't seem to actually affect the services themselves, no action was taken. We did try to recreate the DynamicMappingHost.MapServer service, but that didn't solve anything. If I remember correctly, that DynamicMappingHost map service plays a part in the managing shared instances.

Server logs identify this issue as SEVERE, but ESRI tech support says that it has no impact on AGS services.  If that is the case as per ESRI tech support, why report this error as SEVERE (Just make it a warning)?
