Hi,

I'm trying to publish a map with arcGIS for server and I want to create a cashed map service.  I'm using ArcGIS 10.2 and following the tutorial.  When I get to the section Publishing the map service, step 11 says to click the Caching tab in the Service Editor.  There is no Caching tab in my Service Editor.  I'm not sure whether it is a licensing issue or an extension I need to turn on, but if anyone can help it would greatly be appreciated.

Can you provide a screenshot of what your Service Editor tabs look like?

Try turning on the Mapping capability (in fact, I thought that always had to be checked)

Looks like a Basic License on your Server Ryan. That allows you to only publish Feature Service for map visualization and query.

Ryan,

What license of ArcGIS Server do you have?
