I have download the uninstall the the Arc GIS utility to erase my old AcrGis 10 and install the free trial ArcGis 10.1 but in the process of Installing the process fail to complete because a core licenses from a prior version exist on my machine, this I run again the uninstall utility and told me that everything from ArcGis 10 was erase. Now because of that "false" license it gives me only 15 days trial to unlock this feature.
What can this be and how can I get rid of it.

Thank you

Hello,
You need to clear out your old keycodes file.

C:\Program Files\ESRI\License10.0\sysgen\keycodes

Just open it up in notepad, highlight all of the contents and delete it. Then save it.

If it doesn't allow you to save it, then right click on notepad, run notepad as "Administrator", the select file/open and navigate to the file. you should then be able to delete the contents and save the file.

You will then need to run the Software Authorization Wizard for ArcGIS for Server:
Start/All Programs/ArcGIS/ArcGIS 10.1 for Server/Software Authorization

Take care-
