Hello everyone,

I have an error regarding hosted feature services with Portal 10.9

I have a portal federated and after upgrade from 10.6.1 I notice that my hosted feature services are not working fine.

I have over 58 hosted services, and in hosted folder from config-store I can see all of them. I made a test using geografia service.

Hosted services in server folderHosted services in server folder

When I go to arcgis catalog I just see some services, not all, and the same happen in rest endpoint and server manager logged with portal administrator user.

hosted server in cataloghosted server in catalogrest endpointrest endpoint

manager hosted servicesmanager hosted services

But when I am logged to portal and I consume the hosted services missing in all those places, I can use them with not problem with portal administrator user. from Geografia item i click view rest endpoint from the service, I can the the service

Item in portalItem in portal

geografia rest endpointgeografia rest endpoint

other users cannot see the service, service in portal is public, when they open a web map, it gave error because services are not found.

I rebuild index from portal but I do not know what else can I do.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was able to get the hosted. I was missing my full name of the server in portal properties in server/admin,

Once I used https://machinename.domain.com:7443 it worked, because for some reason the Url changed to https://machinename:7443. Once the URL was used full name, it worked.

Thanks,

Hi @DiegoLlamasOlivares, we're also planning on upgrading from 10.6.1 to 10.9. Just wanted to check, other than this, did you run into any other issues? Does 10.9 work well in your opinion?

Hey,

I've upgraded several (10+) clients to 10.9.1 and there have been few reported issues other than:

  • Needing to tighten up the app registrations for WAB Developer.
  • Disable your Anti-Virus before attempting the upgrade.  Some AV's seem to dislike the presence of the Log4J vulnerability which can only be fixed by patching after the install.
  • At 10.9.1 you can opt out of installing ArcMap publishing libraries and Python 2.7.  I recommend that if you can.  If you have ArcMap published services, then retain the ArcMap and use the inbuilt tool (Server Manager) to promote those services to ArcGIS Pro libraries.

Generally it's faster to upgrade than previous versions and some clients are reporting that it's faster in operation.  There are less patches than say 10.8.1, and it seems to work really quite nicely from my experience.

I did the first of the upgrades in December and the most recent one this last weekend.  Most upgrades were from 10.8.1 but I did one at 10.7.1, not differences between them.

Hope that helps?
