Everyone,

I read several online documents on using ESRI's Cloud Builder to optmimally set and fire up ArcServer AMIs on Amazon EC2. However, everything seems oriented toward selecting and launching on-demand EC2 instances, not reserved instances.

Does anyone know how to get started with ArcServer AMIs on reserved EC2 instances? Does Cloud Builder not allow this type of set up?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

You make the on demand instance a reserved instance after launching the instance via AWS Console.   You just need to add the correct instance size and availability zone when you sign up for the reserved instance.   AWS will automatically assign the reserved instance based on the instance type and availability zone you have spun up.
