Can we still edit data in a geometric network in arcmap (10.8.1) if that data is in an SDE geodatabase running on Enterprise 11?

Does the version of the SDE geodatabase dictate whether or not this is possible? Or does having Enterprise 11 supersede the SDE geodatabase version?

Update :11/8/2023 - After upgrading to Enterprise 11.1, we are still able to update information in a geometric network in ArcMap. Of course we can no longer publish layers from ArcMap but that can be done by opening ArcGIS Pro and adding the same layers that are edited in ArcMap. It would seem there are no issues when editing data in a geometric network in ArcMap when your Enterprise is version 11.1.

I do not think that the version of the Enterprise Geodatabase (EGDB) would impact this. You can also have a newer version of Enterprise compared to the EGDB.

I would think that the client used, i.e., ArcMap 10.8.1, would be the main factor in editing geometric network.

I realize this post of yours is fairly old, but wondering if you were utilizing the up/down trace tools in Web App Builder using the GN data? If you were, how are you handling that if you can no longer publish from ArcMap?

I am thinking we are stuck using ArcMap until we can move out of the GN.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you as we were not utilizing the up/down trace tools in Web App Builder using the GN data.
