Duplicate ObjectIDs

We have been experiencing the impossible problem of duplicate ObjectIDs getting created in one of our SDEs on an SQL server. Prior to reconciling, checks are done across the SDE to confirm this issue isn’t present and then after a full reconcile/post the issue is present. It is technically impossible to occur, but somehow this is the 4th occurrence in the last year with this specific SDE. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. We currently have 3.2 ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise 11 in use and experienced this issue last year when using previous versions as well.

We have previously opened a ticket with Esri and their solution was to run the gp tools Diagnose Version Metadata, Diagnose Version Tables, Repair Version Metadata, and Repair Version Tables. The first two times we had this issue, the above tools eventually worked after repeatedly attempting execution upon tool failure on multiple machines. The last time this occurred the tools never executed successfully, and we were left with a cumbersome manual approach to address the issues.

Hi, are you able to resolve this issue? We recently also encountered this type of issues when using a feature service to insert new records into a SDE geodatabase table. The ObjectIDs created by the feature service have smaller numbers than the maximum ObjectID record in the SDE table.

Sorry for delayed response but we were never able to determine a cuase for this issue and have still been encountering it on/off. Our last run in with the issues the recommended tools to run by Esri support staff have failed again and again with no avail. We've been left recreating our SDE and importing the cleaned up data or completely junking the corrupted records and integrating a cleaned up export of the corrupted subset.
