My company just upgraded from Server 10.3 to 10.5. We are trying to configure the web adapter and keep getting errors about invalid tokens after entering in our FQDN "http://METCONAPP.METCON.DOMAIN:6080 " We're using the user name and password from our previous 10.3 web adapter, which we uninstalled prior to installing 10.5. Our default web site adapter in IIS was called "arcgis" and the installer wouldn't let us name the new adapter "arcgis." We tried to delete this web adapter from the webroot folder and start over, but we still haven't made any progress. WE're not sure how to proceed. We need to get our website and ArcGIS server back online ASAP.
If your site supports https only, then you'll need to use https://servername.domain:6443 , not http://servername.domain:6080 (where 'servername' is the name of the GIS server machine and 'domain' is the machine's domain (can be found by right clicking 'This PC' and selecting 'Properties' on the GIS server)). If that doesn't work, could you test/confirm the following:
As I said, the site only supports HTTP, not HTTPS. We reverted to an backup version of our VM with 10.3 installed, and we'll start over with the 10.5 upgrade next week with ESRI tech support.
Ahhh, I apologize, I misread HTTP only for HTTPS only -- have fun next week!
Thanks! I'm sure it will be much more fun than last week.
How ya doin' Levi?
Well, thank you. Our Server 10.5 and Web Adapter are configured and working well.
