I finally got a server with Arc Server 10.3 running and got my first look at it. Published SampleWorldCities. This is running on Windows Server 2012 R2 and going to use a new SQL server on a separate virtual machine. This is going to replace the ArcServer 9.3, Windows Server, SQL 2000 combination that I have been running.
A problem I now have is Desktop 10.3 has not yet been made available to me. When I installed Server 10.3, it required me to remove my install of Desktop 10.2.2, saying it was an incompatible earlier version. Am I going to be able to publish and administer Server 10.3 with Desktop 10.2.2 installed on a different machine, or am I going to wait until I can get Desktop 10.3?
You can publish from a 10.2.2 Desktop but not administer I believe.
You can publish map services, but Geoprocessing services, the versions have to match.
Well, now it looks like I don't have to try to get by with Desktop 10.2.2. I was just told I can get Desktop 10.3.
