ArcMap License Untrusted After Move to Nutanix

Our organization recently made the switch from VMWare to Nutanix. Last month we our infrastructure team moved our last GIS server over. This server runs python jobs through task scheduler. After the move, the ArcGIS Desktop license became untrusted. This has stopped our tasks from running since.

We've tried deleting the FlexNet folder, uninstalling ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.1 and reinstalling, returning the license through MyESRI, and deactivating the license through ArcGIS Administrator. None of these have produced a viable fix to our license continually being untrusted.

Deleting the FlexNet folder will make the license become trusted again, but only for a short time. Deactivating the license through the ArcGIS Administrator made the license become trusted for three days before becoming untrusted again.

I've opened two tickets with ESRI support and both reps mentioned that Nutanix is not supported by ESRI.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution? Currently, our infrastructure team has spun up a new machine for us to run tasks on until we find a long term solution.

Are you installing arcpro on this same server machine as desktop 10.8?  We run Nutanix as well, and have found that pro and Desktop cannot live together on the same machine for this exact reason.  The moment you open pro after a fresh install/license of desktop, it corrupts that flexnet folder/file somehow.

I am running ArcGIS Pro on the same server. I just checked and it looks like the last time I opened Pro on the server coincides with when the license became untrusted after three days of working. I'll uninstall Pro and see if this fixes things. Thank you!

Yup that is exactly what it is. As soon as pro opens, it becomes untrusted.  We went through a few days of back and forth with tech support and came to the conclusion that in a virtual environment, pro and desktop can't be installed on the same machine.  Works just fine on all of our physical desktop/laptop machines of course, just not virtual for some reason.  We wanted to install side by side to switch services over to pro, but we ended up just setting up a new server altogether for that due to this.

Circling back to confirm that this was what was causing our issue. Thank you for your recommendation. I understand that ArcMap is going away, but we're currently in an environment where using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro is necessary. I hope that ESRI and Nutanix are able to resolve this issue.
