ArcGIS Server - Unable to visualize default map service

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working with a basic license of ArcGIS Server 10.5 installed on a Windows Server. I had no problem installing the service and creating the site, i also can access to the Manager (via localhost).

Problem is, when i start the map service SampleWorldCities located in the root folder and try to visualize it by pressing the button on the thumbnail i catch an error 500, the service is well started for information. Behind the associated log:

type="SEVERE" code="9003">Unable to process request. null

I activated the DEBUG logging mode and got the following without understanding quite what is happening:

java.lang.NullPointerException at com.esri.rf.RRequest.set( at at at at at at com.esri.rf.RServlet.service( at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service( at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter( at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter( at org.apache.tomcat.websocket.server.WsFilter.doFilter( at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.internalDoFilter( at org.apache.catalina.core.ApplicationFilterChain.doFilter( at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke( at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContextValve.invoke( at org.apache.catalina.authenticator.AuthenticatorBase.invoke( at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.invoke( at org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke( at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngineValve.invoke( at org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service( at org.apache.coyote.http11.AbstractHttp11Processor.process( at org.apache.coyote.AbstractProtocol$AbstractConnectionHandler.process( at$ at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker( at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$ at org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.TaskThread$ at

Also the service is not shown in the ArcGIS REST Services Directory (https://localhost:6443/arcgis/rest/services), only the folder Utilities is available.

I also notice on server start the following:

Failed to construct instance of service 'System/DynamicMappingHost.MapServer'. WFS Service is not supported with the current license.

Does it come from the license purchased or from the installation itself ?

Hope anyone can give a track for investigations.

Thank you by advance.

With a basic license, I believe you can only publish read-only feature services.  The default SampleWorldCities service is a dynamic map service, so your basic license may prevent it from working correctly.
