Hello everyone,

Configuration:
ArcGIS Server 10.2.2
Windows Server 2012R2

Using ArcCatalog 10.2.2 when selecting an ArcGIS Server, under Server properties, it opens a window with a tab called Data Store. In this tab  when I create a new Register Database I get the following error message:

Machine xxxx cannot connect to database because the database client failed to load. Be sure the database software is installed and configure correctly.

I installed Oracle 11 client 32 bits. I am able to see the SDE database with ArcCatalog.

Any ideas of how to fix this issue?

Jose,

Be sure to add the 64-bit client for Oracle also.

This will explain the details. After you update the PATH variable, you will need to restart the ArcGIS Server instance.

Configure a connection to the database in ArcGIS Server:
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#//015400000693000000

Install the Oracle Client:

I had installed both the 64 and 32-bit Oracle Instant Clients, it was the restart of the ArcGIS Server Windows service that corrected my issue.  Thank you George and Joe!
