ArcGIS open data fails to accept the username and password when adding a secured service.

When the username and password have been entered, Error Generating Token has appeared as the following screenshots show.

What could be the issue?

I also faced this issue on ArcGIS Portal 10.6.1. I have a "Portal"-Webadaptor and an "ArcGIS"-Webadaptor installed on the same machine. If I access the Portal through the machine name and add a secured service through the "ArcGIS"-Webadaptor, it doesn't work. However, if I access the Portal through an URL (which is not the machine name) and add a secured service through the "ArcGIS"-Webadaptor, it works.

In our case, it worked well after we had installed ArcGIS server web adaptor, we used the adjusted secured URL instead of the original URL:

The adjusted secured URL: https://geomolg.ps/adaptor/rest/services

The original secured URL: https://geomolg.ps:6443/arcgis/rest/services
