Has anyone had the scenario with ArcGIS Enterprise Patch Notification where you installed an available patch, but then it still shows that is available and also that it was installed? I am assuming it was installed, but seeing if there is a way to get the GUI to reflect that.

This issue happens a few times a year with ArcGIS Enterprise. Usually Esri will release a Patch B about a month later that does not do anything other than fix the listing in the Patch Notification app. I have seen/experienced this mostly with ArcGIS Server. I cannot remember a Patch B that ever said the initial patch installation did not apply correctly when a patch still shows up in the Available Updates section after it was installed.

The ArcGIS Server Reconcile and Post Consistently Patch is still showing in the Available Updates section for me as well.

Thank you @Joshua-Young, I'll keep my eye out for the next patch. Glad I'm not the only one who is seeing it.

I'm newer to ArcGIS than most, so when this happened to me yesterday, I immediately contacted ESRI Support ( submitted a ticket ). I attempted a few things that they suggested, but nothing resolved he issue. However, they were kind enough to inform me ( twice ) that they didn't see the issue since it wasn't happening to them. Great support!

Just a quick follow-up to my previous post... I was able to successfully apply the patch by...

  1. Adding scan exclusions to the ArcGIS directories
  2. Shutting down the ArcGIS Server service
  3. Executing the update from the Command Prompt as an administrator
  4. After the update completed, I completely shut down the instance
  5. After waiting 20 sends or so, I started the instance back up
  6. After waiting 5 minutes, I checked to make sur that the server came back on line

I know these items have been mentioned before, but this was the only way I could get the latest patch installed and be recognized as being installed:
