Dear community,
After upgrading to ArcGIS Server 11.1, the Patch Notification tool stopped connecting through the proxy server. Now, it is shown the message "Connection to server failed. Check the proxy host name, port and user credentials for errors."
It was working normally before upgrading, and the same behavior is present in several different servers that went through this process.
Proxy server and credentials are working normally when accessing via browser.
Any ideas?

The patch notification tool has it's own proxy settings, i.e. it doens't share the OS or browser proxy information. Can you check here:
to ensure you still have properties available. The upgrade replaces this tool and may have wiped the settings in the process.

I have inserted again the proxy server and the credentials after the installation, but even like this the result is that error message.
