Is there a reason why in the Cloud Formation Templates available for ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5 and in particular this one, "Provision a highly available ArcGIS GIS Server or GeoAnalytics Server site" does not consider Elastic File Service (EFS) as a file system and instead it uses an EC2 instance?
The benefits of using EFS are similar to the benefits of using RDS, and RDS is fully supported, besides using EFS is a potential solution to avoid the Error 001170 and in particular, the Windows file-locking feature 'Opportunistic locking' when using multi-machines sites. The only reason I can think of is EFS didn't exist when the cloud formation templates were made available. Am I missing something here?
