Hello GIS Friends,
I hope you're all doing well!
I’m experiencing an issue where my collaboration workspace and feature items are not syncing. I have enabled sync using both the System sync tool from ArcGIS Server Manager and also activated sync for the individual items.
Both my ArcGIS Enterprise Server and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal are running version 11.4.
However, I’ve noticed an inconsistency in ArcGIS Online. Under Settings > Collaboration, it shows ArcGIS Enterprise Version 11.3.0, even though it should be showing ArcGIS Enterprise Version 11.4.
Please see the screenshot below for reference.
As always, I would greatly appreciate your awesome help with this!
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Abi

Hey @AbiDhakal
From what I've tested, it will remove the workspace, but the items in the groups will persist. I've deleted and recreated a collaboration for testing, and it successfully synced after I had redone it. If you would like to try leaving the collaboration first, you can reinvite the Portal by clicking the collaboration on the AGOL side, View Guests, and then use the Invite button on the next screen.
I was able to put a new workspace name in, and then reconnect it with the respective groups. Prior to this, I would recommend backing up sensitive information before attempting to redo the collaboration.
In the end though, this could still be a problem that ESRI support may be able to help best with. There could be an invalid configuration file on one side that is causing this issue, which they may be the only people who could fix.

Hey @AbiDhakal
It may be due to the authorization file that is sent between the two environments. The file could contain the version at the moment which AGOL runs with, typically this can cause some consistency issues like you're seeing.
Would it be possible to recreate the distribution, and transfer the items from the old groups to the new ones created? This should have a new file transfer occur and update the version, but I'm not entirely confident on that as I've not upgraded in this case just yet.

Thank you for your response.
Did you mean I should recreate a new collaboration altogether? Will I lose all my workspaces if I do so?
I see there is an option for me to leave the existing collaboration from ArcGIS Portal, but will I still need the old invitation from ArcGIS Online to rejoin the collaboration? I can’t seem to find my previous collaboration invite from ArcGIS Online. Is there any way to regenerate the invitation from ArcGIS Online?
Thank you for your help!

@CodyPatterson - Thank you for your excellent guidance. With the support of Esri, I was able to leave the collaboration from the portal, delete the collaboration from the organization, and then re-establish the collaboration by creating a new one. Afterward, I connected the workspaces to the existing groups. Now it all seems to be working.
Thank you again,
Abi
