Wondering where I should start in troubleshooting this - the option is still checked in the portal settings, but suddenly anonymous access doesn't work. I tried unchecking/rechecking and no change. Users must have an account to access ANYTHING in my portal. My first thought would be some kind of Active Directory change that affects this, but I'm not really sure how/where the anonymous access interfaces with AD, and/or what to check. I'm in 11.1 and have never seen this issue before, so any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Can you provide a screenshot of your Portal settings?
How is your web adaptor for Portal setup in IIS as by default it is setup to be anonymous?
Hello @valenj88 - Have you recently changed the "Windows Authentication" setting to "Enabled" in IIS?
Even stranger is this seems to be affecting users unevenly. Some are denied access with a login request while others aren't having any issues.
@valenj88, How is the login configured on Portal? And is the AD group added in your portal members for those observing this error? Also for all those who can access and Can't access belongs to same AD group?
Nothing has changed in portal or iis settings as far as I can tell. It seems to be unevenly affecting users at different times as well. And sometimes switching browsers seems to fix the issue (but not all the time). I'm starting to wonder if some sort of browser update is affecting how user data is set back to the server. It's really hard to replicate the issue in any consistent way because it changes who and when and how it affects users all the time.
