Sample points to contours

I have sample points for the depth of a lake. I need to create  bathemetry for the lake from the sample points. I was wondering about the process involved to complete this task. Does anyone know the process involved? Any advice or help would be very appreciated.

I would first create a raster dataset from your sample points using one of our Interpolation tools. Once you have a raster dataset, you can use our Contour tool. Both of these will require the Spatial Analyst extension.
